Since it's been so very hot outside, Ross had the awesome idea of bring Blakely's new favorite toy inside...the cozy coupe! Whenever b hears, "Wanna go for a ride??" She lights up and heads to her coupe...so very sweet! :)

Dress Up!

The heat index is over 105 today, so Blakely desired to spend only 20 minutes outside in her pool and water table. I totally do NOT blame her! However, coming up with different indoor activities can be some what difficult; until Blakely came up to me with some clothes and shoes from her closet. Dress-up was definitely not on my list of fun things to do today... Needless to say, we had a blast! :)

Ross bought Blakely an inflatable pool and pool toys the last time we were at Menard's...I guess he felt bad making her go, so he tried to make it up to her by buying her something? (jk!) She loves it all that's for sure!! :)

This past weekend we got to eat Taco Bell at the park, hang out with some awesome friends at the Farmer's Market and our house, celebrate friends' engagement!!! and start some home improvement projects Ross, and I guess me too, have been dying to start ;)

Princess Cozy Coupe :)

Blakely received a Princess Cozy Coupe from her Frama and Papa for her birthday and due to the big move we just put it together last night! Ross started pushing Blakes on another walker type toy and decided it was just much bending down for him, so he went to the garage and returned with the box full of the Cozy Coupe. Thinking it would only take a few snaps of different plastic parts, we quickly realized it was going to be a much for of a task when it required a hammer and screwdriver! Since B already saw him bring it in, we were forced to complete the project, but I think the hour and a half it took for us to put it together was way worth it!! :) THANK YOU VERY MUCH FRAMA AND PAPA! (have to listen closely to hear B's giggle over mine and the outside noise...sorry!)

Ugh..this is too much on the back, Blakely! Hold on one sec!

Visitors!

One of the things I was kind of worried about moving was how far we would be from our family and friends, but it hasn't prevented us at all from still being connected, which is a blessing! Here are a few pics from Aunt Holls, Dan and Kypton's visit...oh, and a few Ross took and insisted we have for the future when we need to embarrass B (sounds just like Ross, right?) :)

Father's Day :)

This past weekend we enjoyed having Daddy (Ross) home on Friday and going garage saleling, to the dentist, and shopping for all of the materials needed for a few home improvement projects Ross is dying to start. :) On Saturday, we were suppose to attend a wedding shower and wedding, but I had the stomach flu so that put a bosh on things! Instead we caught up on some rest and hung out at the house. Sunday, we headed to Winterset for church and to hang out with the Rethmeier side for lunch and part of the afternoon, followed by  heading to Waukee to spend the rest of Father's Day with the Owens side. We had a blast! We are so very blessed with such awesome fathers, grandfathers, and uncles who are fathers. :)
