Life around our house :)

Things around the Rethmeier house have been crazy to say the least, but that doesn't mean we haven't had some fun! Even though the past few weeks have been interrupted by me working three days a week (more during the first week of school), Blakely has really enjoyed spending time hanging with her grandmothers, aunts, cousins, and the Shisler's! I think the transition into me working part-time has gone so smoothly because of these awesome people being so willing to watch B! I can definitely not thank them enough!

God has also been faithful in providing a consistent child care provider for Blakes starting in September. One of my friends from my high school youth group has an in-home child care and has being so great in allowing us to have part-time care for this semester and then full-time child care for next semester since I will being completing another internship while still working part-time job at DMCS! :)

Here are some pics to show what else has been going on around here! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

Tommy came to visit!

We had the awesome blessing of having one of our dear friends, Tommy, come visit! I think Tommy was sick of hearing me say, "I just can't believe you're driving and you're old enough to babysit my daughter!" Haha! He's such a kind, sweet, and caring 15 year old guy, and even though I love hanging out with him (ever since I started babysitting him and his younger brothers at the age of 7 :) ), I think by the pics you will see who loves hanging out with him more....;)

Handsome boy :)

Pretty sure he read B a hundred books :)

so sweet....

She sweet talked him into giving her multiple rides ;)

Happy 3rd Anniversary!

God has truly blessed me with an amazing husband! I have learned so many things by being married, some tough, but mostly good! I went out to dinner with some super close friends from high school the other night and after "complaining" about how much Ross loves doing all kinds of projects around our "new" house, I stopped and thought, "Wow! I need to stop because Rossy's motivation and desire to make things better, is one of the things I love about him." :) He does an awesome job of being a great leader, provider, husband, father, and friend. The other night I think we spent around an hour just laughing at random things! :)

We take turns planning our anniversary celebration each year, and this year was Ross's turn. We went to shopping at the outlet mall and bought a gun for Ross from someone around Williamsburg. The following week, he asked Frama and Papa to watch B, while we went for massages, lunch, and the jewelry store. :) Oh and before we left for Winterset, we stopped and took a picture by one of the covered bridges, our anniversary tradition. It was perfect! :)

She loves her Dada :)

And I'm pretty sure he loves her too ;)

Movin and Groovin :)

Griffin turns 1!

This past weekend we celebrated some of our good friends' son's first birthday party! Can't believe it's been a year! :)

B loves Kypton!

Hangin' out with Aunt Holls :)

Thing 1 and Thing 2...so serious...

There's some smiles :)

Tryin' to stay cool...

So cute!

Birthday boy on his new Mater :)

Blakes wants a ride!

Blonde hair and blue eyes all around :)

What we've been upto lately :)

Every morning Blakely asks for a "crackkker" (cracker) before eating breakfast. She eats any type of cracker and never seems to get sick of them! She's also really into dressing up and wearing headbands...mostly as necklaces. :) It's a blast watching her explore and be so creative!

Ross and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary...it's gone by so fast! (More pics of our celebration to come :) ) This coming fall and spring I will be completing my masters by completing internships in school and mental health counseling. God has blessed our family in allowing me to have paid "internship"/job for my school counseling side...this coming school year I will be the elementary guidance counselor at Des Moines Christian school! Very exctied...nervous, but excited! :) One of the things we're still praying about/trying to figure out is child care...if anyone knows of a great in home day care provider we would love their contact info! :)

We hope everyone is having a great rest of their summers and for those going back to school soon have a great start to the year! :)

love those baby blues :)

I've learned what and where my belly button is :)
