Hair seems to be something we talk about alot since Rossy is growing his out and B's comes in more and more each day. Here's some pics to show the progress...(hope they make y'all laugh as much as they made me ;) )

I think for this post all I have to do is simply show the pics I took after I heard Ross say to Blakely tonight, "One sec Blakes, I need to make a few modifications. No more of this hurting my back." And the basement door opened... ;)

4th of July 2012 :)

I joked around with Ross and one of our friends that next to Christmas, the Fourth of July is my favorite holiday because of the fireworks. They both informed me that fireworks are used for other holidays as well, and then I realized that there is more that I love about the holiday...being thankful for our freedom, country, family, and friends. And this week, we have celebrated all of those :) From celebrating Aunt Kelsey's birthday to wearing red, white, and blue everyday to going to Waukee's parade to watching fireworks after the I-Cubs with some awesome friends, I would have to say our 4th of July week has been perfect! :)

Granddaddy's birthday and church shoppin'

This past weekend we celebrated my dad's birthday! Of course, Blakely was spoiled by her Granddaddy, Nini, Uncle Cole and Uncle Presty...we sure missed Uncle Tay Tay!! I think she enjoyed opening Granddaddy's presents more than he did. ;)


After spending Friday and Saturday with my fam, we decided to head home and try out a new church down the street. I use to laugh when people would tell me that they had to "church shop" before attending a church, but it's so true! Although we believe God is everywhere and is not contained by a "church", it has been quite the experience trying to find a church that does not start during Blakely's nap time and/or fits our "style". We hope to find one soon though! :)
